Spanish dance

SPANISH DANCE
Spanish dance is so wide and varied that it is nourished by five disciplines to be able to study it:

BALLET
We have talked about it before. Without a doubt, it is the essential and necessary base of any dancer. Its study gives us the positioning of the body, coordination of movement, strength, speed, harmony in movement... in general it gives us the necessary technique to be able to study any type of dance, be it Classical, Flamenco, Modern, Contemporary...

BOWLING SCHOOL
The bolero school is a very unique dance, scenic and scenographic expression, of a great baroque style and complexity in its execution that constitutes a variant of Spanish dance and drinks from the sources of classical dance, based on Spanish popular dances.
It combines the technique of ballet in the lower part of the body with the elegance, grace and Spanish style in the upper part, with castanets being an important element in this discipline.

FOLKLORE
It is the study of the wide variety of typical regional dances of our country. We can study from a Galician muñeira to some verdiales from Malaga, passing through a Castilian or Aragonese jota, the latter style being perhaps one of the best known manifestations of folklore.

SPANISH CLASSIC OR STYLIZATION
Spanish Classic or also called Stylization, is the most sophisticated and elegant way of representing dance, choreographing the classical music of the great Spanish authors: Manuel de Falla, Albéniz, Granados, Bretón, Turina…. It feeds on the Bowling School, Flamenco and Folklore. This way of interpreting the dance is normally practiced with shoes, castanets and sometimes classical dance shoes.

FLEMISH
Flamenco is a style of music and dance that originated in Andalusia at the end of the 18th century, and is based on the Andalusian folklore that existed at that time, the result of the coexistence of multiple races and cultures of Andalusia.
The three fundamental elements of flamenco music are: El Cante, El Baile and the Guitar. Flamenco offers a great variety of styles, called flamenco palos: tanguillos, tangos, fandangos, alegrías, caña, soleá, caracoles, farruca, bulerías… Here you will learn to know and dance each flamenco palo to the beat, studying its metric measure, technique of feet, arms, hands, turns... using, if necessary, different elements that complement the training, such as handling the pericón, shawl, cane or bata de cola. All this in the hands of the best professionals, accompanied by flamenco guitar and cante to better understand the flamenco style that is being studied in particular.
